Joseph Navarro has over thirty years of design and management experience comprised of a wide range of project types including large-scale housing, mixed-use, cultural, academic, and urban design projects. His portfolio consists of both national and international projects in locations such as New York, San Francisco, and Dubai. A noted expert in the field of Architecture and Architectural History, Mr. Navarro served as the Director of Historic Preservation at an international design firm prior to joining Davis Brody Bond; and he is an active member of the Association for Preservation Technology, the National Trust of Historic Preservation, and the Society of Architectural Historians. He brings his vast and wide-ranging knowledge and expertise to all of his projects, helping to weave them successfully into the historic, cultural, and environmental context of their locations. He is currently serving as Project Manager (in association with REX Architecture) on New York City’s latest cultural gem: the state-of-the-art new Ronald O. Perelman Center for Performing Arts at the World Trade Center, a unique and innovative 127,000 sf performing arts center with flexible auditoriums and rehearsal spaces that allow for up to 25 different theatrical and seating configurations via movable, acoustic guillotine walls.
