Carl Brown joined Davis Brody Bond as Senior Architect in 2010, and since then he has contributed significantly to Columbia University’s Manhattanville Development Phase II Master Plan, with particular focus on the new Jerome L. Greene Science Center and Lenfest Center for the Arts. LEED certified and BIM/Revit trained, Mr. Brown brings his strength in promoting environmentally sustainable solutions as well as the knowledge and skill to implement these into his designs. He is currently bringing his depth of experience to the American Museum of Natural History’s new 203,000 sf, five-story Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation. currently nearing completion on the Columbus Avenue side of the Museum complex at 79th Street, near Carl’s long-time home on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Executed in collaboration with design architect Jeanne Gang, the completed project will invite visitors to experience the Museum as not only a place of public exhibitions but also an active scientific and educational institution.
