David Williams brings over 35 years of experience planning, designing, and managing both new construction and renovation projects. His professional focus has been dedicated to design excellence via technology, striving to leverage the inherent benefits of technology and data mining to lead change in how buildings are conceived, designed, documented, and constructed. He has significant experience with complex projects involving accelerated fast-track schedules, highly technical logistics, and multiple phasing, which require the careful coordination of large project team members and consultants.
His portfolio is diverse and includes government, cultural, healthcare, and residential projects. With the majority of his projects located in New York City, he offers extensive knowledge of local building processes including codes, zoning regulations, construction trades, and practices. He recently completed the New Building & Clinical Modernization project for Mount Sinai in Queens and the Adult ED project at NewYork Presbyterian. He is currently working with the New York City School Construction Authority and the new Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center; he previously served as Project Executive for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center.
He is active in civic and professional activities in New York and New Jersey and serves on NYC AIA Finance Committee as well as the ACE Mentor program. Prior to joining Davis Brody Bond, Mr. Williams served as Director of Design and Construction for a major New York City real estate developer where he was responsible for all construction activities and building operations
